The Sand Man Pictured at 30 Years Old Foaled March 30, 1963 The Sandman is the base of Maynard Stillwell's Breeding Program. Most old time cowhands will recognize his name and the name of his prodigee. One of his best was a horse named "The Pat Horse", twice in the Cowboy Hall Of Fame, Roger Rasner was mounted on "Pat" to win Rookie Of The Year. Maynard raised The Sandman, trained him, then roped and rodeoed on him. Sandman horses are well known in our region of Colorado and are sought after because they are soooo cowey. They are natural ranch horses that do it all, the way using Quarter Horses were meant to be. These horses learn quick and are extremely athletic.
